2020 State of the City

The City of St. Helens hosted a 2020 State of the City meeting on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the St. Helens Middle School. The meeting highlighted the past year's accomplishments and anticipated projects in 2020.

  • St. Helens Public Library checks out an average of 230 items to patrons every day
  • The St. Helens Building Department issued 530 building permits in 2019
  • St. Helens maintains 135 acres of parks
  • St. Helens Public Works maintains 82 miles of water pipes, 60 miles of sewer lines, and 50 miles of storm drain lines
  • The 20 sworn officers of the St. Helens Police Department handled 17,953 calls for service, 1,125 new cases, 743 adult arrests, and 2,658 traffic stops in 2018
